Character: Satoshi Hiwatari / Krad

Age: 14, though due to his genius and maturity, he often seems older than he is.
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Sexuality: Homosexual (Daisuke-sexual, actually)

Appearance: Satoshi is tall and thin, rather skinny because he doesn’t really eat much food other than at supper. He has short blue hair, though at times it appears to be somewhat purple. He wears glasses overtop of his blue eyes, though he admits that he doesn’t require them to see. Satoshi occasionally turns into his alter-ego, Krad. Krad is a homicidal blonde male, who originally was a piece pf artwork created by the Hikari family. He is tall and slim, and has long blonde hair. His eyes change colour often, but his clothes always appear the same, or similar. He is dressed in long white robes whenever he appears, and often uses his powers to use his large white wings, that resemble those of an angel.

Personality: Satoshi: Satoshi is usually cold and distant towards all of his acquaintances, in an effort to stop Krad from emerging. The only exception to this rule is Daisuke, whom he loves. Satoshi is a keen obsverver, and is constantly writing things down in his black notebook. This may be a side effect of being a genius, but no one really knows.
Krad: Krad is a homicidal blonde male, who hates Daisuke (Satoshis’ only chance to get rid of Krad), and is constantly trying to take over Satoshis’ body. When in possession of the body, he uses his magic without care for the harm that it does to Satoshi. Krad tries his hardest to emerge around Daisuke, so that he can kill him. Krad is very arrogant and conceited, as well as hateful towards just about everyone that he meets.

Abilities/Strengths: Satoshi: Satoshi is a genius and is able to think of solutions to problems extremely quite. He graduated from Lagoon University at age thirteen, and soon after that, was made a police Commander by his adoptive father, the 26-year old Police Commissioner, Kei Hiwatari. Satoshi has always kept himself in shape, enough to be able to encounter gym class, and to try and capture Dark (Daisukes’ alter ego) when he was after him.
Krad: Krads’ greatest strengths would be his magical powers and his ruthless personality. He is willing to do whatever is takes to achieve his goals.

Weapons: Satoshi does not carry any weapons, as he prefers to use his intellect as opposed to developing his body into something to carry weapons around. This is a possible side effect of Krads’ intense personality, and willingess to destroy things. Krad does not carry a weapon, per se, but he uses feathers from his wings as channels for his power to use them as weapons, or as the means to cast all sorts of magical spells.

Weaknesses: Satoshi: Sathoshis’ greatest weakness is Krad, and Krad’s ability to harm his body whenever he appears, as well as his love for Daisuke. Whenever Satoshi feels intense feelings towards Daisuke, he is at his most vulnerable for Krad to take over.
Krad: Unfortunately, like he is Satoshis’ weakness, Satoshi is his weakness, as Satoshi is constantly trying to suppress him. His other greatest weakness is, like Satoshi, Daisuke. If Daisuke ever returns Satoshis’ love, then Krad will disappear from Satoshi forever.

History: The Niwa family and the Hikari family have been locked in a battle for centuries. The Hikaris’ create beautiful art, often with magical properties. The Niwas are a family of thieves, who seem to have an attraction for the Hikari art. One day, a painting by the Hikaris’ came to life, and the two angels featured in it became embedded in the DNA of the Niwa family, and the Hikari family. Satoshi is, in fact, the last of the Hikari line, and is cursed to carry Krad within him. Krad is a completely ruthless being, who desperately wants to have control over Satoshis’ body forever. The other angel, Dark, now shares a body with Daisuke Niwa, and is fated to be Krads’ enemy. But unlike Krad, Dark is better at sharing a body, and gets along with Daisuke. But Satoshi needs to be rid of Krad before he is killed by Krad. The only way to be rid of Krad forever is to have his love for someone returned. But unfortunately for Satoshi, he loves Daisuke Niwa, who is fated to be his rival.
Satoshi was adopted by Kei Hiwatari, and for years tried unsuccessfully to capture Dark, and prevent him from stealing his art. But at the same time, he grew closer and closer to Daisuke… He first became Daisukes’ friend, though this was more complicated than it sounds, as every time he got close to Daisuke (emotionally), Krad would try to emerge to kill Daisuke. Satoshi slowly began to gain Daisukes’ love, despite the fact that Daisuke had been pursuing a girl named Riku Harada, to try and win her love.
But through perseverance stemming from his love, Satoshi finally won Daisukes’ love, and thus, sealed Krad away forever. Satoshi had spent one happy year with Daisuke, when suddenly he was pulled into Econtra… and Krad managed to stir within him once again.

Sample Journal Entry
Do you have any idea how much pain I am in whenever Krad tries to emerge? Let me try to describe to you, so that you may possibly understand how it feels…
First, I am happy. Usually, quite happy, as Krad usually emerges when I am close to Daisuke. Therefore, I am happy, because I love Daisuke. Except then certain… feelings… arise from deep within me. Then, I hear faint thoughts and feelings, coaxing me to surrender to this other being that resides in my body. These words try to convince me that all will be well if I simply sacrifice my body to these thoughts, this personality. But I am wise to his tricks, and practiced at deflecting these thoughts, at ignoring them. Next, Krad gets angry. He tries to swamp my personality, tries to turn it into his by pushing all of his purest feelings of rage and hate into my thoughts. He commands me to surrender to him, to give in, so that he can kill my only hope to purge him from me. Sometimes, I can control this. Many years of practice and necessity have given me to ability to do so. Though every so often, Krad gets the upper hand. He finds a thought that is so purely hatred that he can use that a lever to lever me out of control, and he implants himself within me. Just before I give up, and I can feel my body changing to become him. And ‘painful’ is a word that does not live up to the feelings to your body suddenly changing in size, shape, and right down to the molecular level… Do you have any idea how painful it is to actually feel your DNA changing into something else?
No, of course you don’t. You’ve never felt it have you? And you’ve probably no idea how horrible it is to watch this hateful thing try to kill your only love, and being helpless to do anything about it…

So, now do you understand why I keep myself distant from everyone I meet? Maybe, just maybe, you can understand just the tiniest bit of my pain now.

Sample Roleplay:
Satoshi was bored. Quite bored. He had such a high intellect, and at the moment, it was being completely wasted inside of this place. Econtra… rather boring at times. Maybe if he had joined in on military classes, it might be more worthwhile, but really, weapons weren’t his thing.
He sighed. Well, let us then resume our favourite pastime…
Satoshi got up from his chair, briefly considering it as he walked out of the room. Maybe if I turned it so I faced out of the window, instead of staring at a blank wall, things might be more interesting. He mused, But then, blank walls are such good canvases for the thoughts.
Satoshi made his way to an area that usually contained many people, and could provide him with hours of amusement, if he came around mealtimes. Yes, writing everything down in his notebook conspicuously was certainly amusing. He grinned at the thought of just how amusing it was… people were always trying to snoop over his shoulder, futilely trying to get a glimpse of what he wrote down. They always stopped just short of ripping the book out of his hands in frustration.
Satoshi entered the mess hall, being very obvious about it. He opened the door, contriving to make it creak loudly. Then he proceeded to sit down at a table with several other people, in the middle of the hall. Then, he pulled out his notebook. He observed two people at the other end of the table, then started writing down things, and waited for the fun to begin.
One must find one’s amusement in the ways that one can. Inwardly, he grinned.
